In 2018, former U.S. President George W. Bush won the Presidency in a surprising upset of former U.S. Senator Ted Cruz. Bush has had an uneventful but successful first term, with a thriving economy and an approval rating of 58%. However, despite this, President Bush has opted to not run for reelection, citing his age (he’ll be 76 by the time of the election).
