2020- President Trump (v1.1, 12/07/2016)

President Trump:

Donald Trump shocked many with his 2016 Election victory, the 2020 Election looks to be even crazier. Donald Trump started off his presidency off with a bang, he’s built the wall and we’re back in Iraq. Will Trump run for re-election? Will he win again in a Reaganesque manner, or be humiliated by a Democratic Challenger?

The Republican party base loves the President, most of the GOP senators and representatives have been forced to embrace Trump. They gave Trump 100,000 troops in Iraq, a fairly moderate agenda, and unemployment is at 5.1%. Will “the Donald” run again? Can the Democratic party nominate a winning candidate?

Republic of Texas 2022

republic-of-texas-2022

In 2018, former U.S. President George W. Bush won the Presidency in a surprising upset of former U.S. Senator Ted Cruz.  Bush has had an uneventful but successful first term, with a thriving economy and an approval rating of 58%.  However, despite this, President Bush has opted to not run for reelection, citing his age (he’ll be 76 by the time of the election).  Once again, Ted Cruz is the favorite to win the election, but he is not without competition.  The following candidates are also running for the Presidency:

Tea Party

  • Governor Ted Cruz
  • Senator Pete Sessions
  • Senator Louie Gohmert
  • Territorial Senator Blake Farenthold
  • Senator John Culberson
  • Former Attorney General Ken Paxton
  • Former U.S. Representative Randy Weber

Republican

  • Secretary George P. Bush
  • Vice President John Ratcliffe
  • Senator Mac Thornberry
  • Former U.S. Governor Greg Abbott
  • Territorial Senator Bill Flores

Progressive

  • Governor Julian Castro
  • Senator Beto O’Rourke
  • Governor Mike Rawlings
  • Former U.S. Representative Marc Veasey
  • Former Governor Ivy Taylor
  • Territorial Senator Rodney Ellis
  • Mrs. Kat Swift

Blue Dog

  • Secretary Pete Geren
  • Senator Henry Cuellar
  • Territorial Senator Filemon Vela Jr.

Reform

  • Mr. Ross Perot Jr.
  • Mr. Chris Keniston

Libertarian

  • Mr. Michael Badnarik
  • Former LNC Vice Chairman R. Lee Wrights

Texas Independent

  • Petty Officer Marcus Luttrell
  • Reverend Scott Copeland

(Terr. Senator is equivalent to a State Senator, except they are more powerful and high profile because the country uses a unicameral legislature and only has 7 federal Senators)

Finally! The Personal Scenario is Released!

WILL NO LONGER BE UPDATED

The 2016 election is by far one of the most controversial and frequently talked about races in the history of politics. With two controversial candidates taking the state, many voters have found themselves alienated by the two major parties and have taken it up to themselves to flock to many minor parties, like the Libertarians, Greens, and even the Constitutionalists, McMullin, and La Fuente.

Will Clinton pull off a landslide? Can Trump defy all odds and win the Presidency? Can Gary Johnson find a way into the debates?

The next President will have to deal with ISIS, taxes, the economy, the Supreme Court, and more, and the fate of the nation lies in your hands…

“WE ARE GOING TO WIN BIG!” – Donald J. Trump

 preelectionresults

With the most accurate polling of any 2016 scenario, you will have to campaign effectively and manage your time wisely to win over the crucial swing states. Can you pull off a Clinton landslide? Can a Republican take back the White House? Can McMullin win Utah? Can Johnson break 5%?

“I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email.” – Hillary R. Clinton

election-2016-issues

With new issues like, “Hillary’s Emails”, “Marijuana”, and the “Gender Gap” to stir things up, the election season is sure to be full of mudslinging and boasting as the candidates try to appease all voters. Now, voters will care about a wide variety of issues, instead of focusing on a few small ones!

“What is Aleppo?” – Gary E. Johnson

eventeventevent

With 50+ new random and scripted events added, the voter’s perception of the issues will adamantly change during the course of the game. Did a mass shooting just occur? Chances are, many voters will flip to the left on gun control issues. Terrorist attack? Now they may want more ground troops in the Middle East. Wikileaks release some Hillary emails? Yeah, she’s going down in the polls. Trump say something racist again? Now they’re undecided again; With so many events added, the gameplay will be anything but static!

PRIMARIES???  WE DON’T NEED NO STINKIN’ PRIMARIES!

UPDATE 11/1/16:  Ok so I know the region percentages were WAY off last time.  I’ve completely re-done those from scratch.  Methodology was difficult because of the expanded general election field, most candidates except for the current top four had some guesswork involved.  I used primaries voting to “rank” candidates within their (real-world) parties.  To avoid vote-splitting, I first expanded the lead party in a state, then divvied up the percentages.  For example if a state was 50-40 Trump over Clinton, I’d go to 60-40 and THEN “give” some of the 60 to Ted Cruz.  It’s an inexact science.  Let me know what you think.

Don’t like our choices?  Did your #1 not make the general election?  The ultimate Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio or Bernie Sanders dream scenario.  Well, what if all the candidates ran as independents?  I think it’d go something like this.

FIXES 10/23:
Some Libertarian candidates not on all ballots
Turned off polling, as it was resulting in very weird results.  Will work on the polls later.

Texas Secession Scenario

After winning the 2016 election by a landslide, conservatives everywhere are upset about the first 8 months of the progressive and liberal Hillary Clinton presidency.  With a democrat-controlled congress, President Clinton has passed legislation that has infuriated the right-wing.  In only a matter of months, she has managed to pass legislation that effectively abolishes the death penalty, contains strict gun control measures (such as completely outlawing the carrying of guns in public and owning a gun larger than a pistol), requires every police officer in the country to wear a body camera, raised the federal minimum wage to $12 per hour and tying it to an inflation index, while also greatly decreasing debt for college students. She has also allowed much more than the previously proposed 10,000 Syrian refugees into the country, cut back on deportations and border control, and restored the right to vote to thousands of convicted felons.  As a result of these drastic measures, conservatives, especially southerners, have declared much of this legislation “unconstitutional”, with Texas Governor Greg Abbott calling Clinton a “dictator”.  Shortly after this, Tea Party members in Texas drew up plans to secede from the United States.  After Texas declared its independence, President Clinton responded by surprisingly allowing Texas to secede (believing that they wouldn’t be able to survive on their own), but threatening to start a second civil war if any other states join in the Secession.  After a few months of Greg Abbott serving as the acting President, Texas lawmakers have determined that they will elect their 1st President in November of 2018.  Most of the Constitution is similar to the original U.S. Constitution, with the only major difference being that they will use a unicameral legislature with just 1 Senator from each territory in an attempt to give more power to the states. There are 3 major parties: the Tea Party, the Republicans, and the Progressives, with Ted Cruz of the Tea Party the favorite to become President.
