New Jersey Gubernatorial 2017

* 6-12-17 Changed electoral college to popular vote (though editorially I think more states should have electoral system), and updated populations and eligible voters (used 2010 Census data)

UPDATE 6-11-17:

  • Updated with primary election winners: Lt. Gov. Gim Guadagno (R) and Phil Murphy (D)
  • Added Libertarian, Green Party and Constitution Party nominees
  • Updated electoral vote (Huntington-Hill with 225 seats using “Wyoming Rule”)
  • Updated region percentages (30% NJ13, 35% POTUS16, 35% Senate14)
  • Added issues: NJEA (Teacher Union) & Bridgegate
  • Just for fun – added Andrew Wilkow from Sirius XM as an independent candidate 🙂

  1. Excellent scenario you made there!

As a request you should do one for Virginia, since they are having gubernatorial elections next year (yes, I do live in Virginia, in case you are wondering why) 🙂

  2. Wow, a lot of requests! I live in Washington and lived in NJ for over 30 years, so I’m familiar with the names and issues. Sure technically I could do other states, but I won’t have the insight and would just be copying information.

  3. I’ll also add that I’m updating this and the Washington states, as well as my 2020 campaign and another upcoming project I’m working on, so I don’t think I can do more states at this time. If you could send me a list of candidates, news outlets, etc. I can consider it though.

  4. Is there any possibility that you could do NJ’s 3rd Congressional Race? I know it’s a big ask but since you said you lived in NJ for awhile, I thought it would be cool to see an insight into a congressional race.
