“Burnley is the stronghold of the British National Party, the far right group who obtained the first ever far right councilor in 1993. Since 2002, they have had a strong presence in the Lancashire town of Burnley.
I hope that this scenario will be interesting both for supporters and opposers of the BNP – to see how successful they could become or how the party’s presence could be destroyed entirely. Or those who don’t care and want to see the Tories expand their presence or UKIP gain ground. Funds and costs have been made realistically low.”
